Every ripple begins with someone willing to make the first movement — and behind this year's TEDxMississauga stood a team of people who made that movement possible, again and again, mostly out of sight.

TED was built on a simple, stubborn belief: that ideas worth spreading can change the world — not all at once, but the way real change tends to happen. Quietly. Outward. One person, then another.

An idea worth spreading needs a first voice, someone willing to stand in the light and say it out loud, before they know how it will land. This year, sixteen people did exactly that.

An idea can be brilliant on the page and still falter in the air. What carries it across the gap — from speaker to audience, from one mind to many — is often the person holding the room. This year, that person was two.
